Premier Mike Rann with Leah George, Andrew Neighbour and Pete Nash

Dolphin Watch skipper Andrew Neighbour and volunteers Leah George, Sandy Carey, Lisa Collins and Pete Nash, travelled to Parndana recently for a ceremony as part of the Kangaroo Island Community Cabinet Meeting with the Premier and Ministers of the South Australian Government. At a morning tea they were presented with the SA Community Volunteers Award for 2011 by State Premier Mike Rann. An elegant certificate and beautiful glass wombat were presented to the volunteers representing all those involved in Dolphin Watch’s vital work. Leah spoke on behalf of the group acknowledging the efforts of everyone including the sponsors and supporters. It is wonderful to have the efforts of all concerned recognised through such a prestigious award.
